Original illustration by Elisha Marie, created from memory, symbolism, and the details that make a story personal.
Elisha’s illustration work begins with drawing.
Her practice grew from years of sketching people in New York, creating live portraits, studying gesture and the human figure, and developing a visual language around femininity, memory, transformation, and the many versions of ourselves we become.
Today, she creates commissioned artwork for people who want something more personal than decoration.
A portrait. A keepsake. A maternal image. A meaningful object translated into line. A piece built around a memory, relationship, place, or symbol.

Echoes in Bloom
Turning early memories into lasting artwork.
Motherhood opened a new direction in Elisha’s work.
Inspired by her daughter Luna, Elisha began developing a maternal illustration series centered on pregnancy, sonograms, and the fragile records of early life.
Ultrasound images are often tucked away, damaged, faded, or eventually lost. Through Echoes in Bloom, Elisha translates that source material into artwork designed to be kept, displayed, and passed forward.
Each piece is created around the individual experience rather than reproduced from a fixed template.
For some clients, that imagery may also become the starting point for a custom tattoo.
Portraits, Gesture & the Human Figure
Elisha’s approach to portraiture was shaped long before Conjure Ink.
While living in New York, drawing people on the subway became a daily practice. Working quickly taught her to notice gesture, posture, expression, and the small details that make someone recognizable.
That practice eventually led to nearly eight years creating live digital portraits for events with Drawing Booth.
The result is illustration that pays attention not only to what someone looks like, but to how they occupy a moment.

The Conjure Ink Visual Language
Elisha’s work often moves through recurring ideas:
Femininity
Women appear throughout her work as layered, evolving figures rather than a single fixed archetype.
Memory
Personal objects, photographs, handwriting, bodies, family histories, and fleeting moments can all become source material.
Transformation
The work is interested in who we have been, who we are becoming, and the marks those transitions leave behind.
Symbolism
Botanicals, figures, cosmic imagery, lettering, and unexpected objects often carry more than one meaning.
That same visual language also runs through Elisha’s illustrative tattoo work.
How Art Commissions Work
1. Share the idea
Tell Elisha what you would like created and why the piece matters to you.
Include reference images, photographs, handwriting, sonograms, objects, or other source material when relevant.
2. Define the project
Elisha will review the concept, intended size or format, level of detail, timing, and any important personal elements.
3. Receive a custom quote
Commission pricing varies according to the scope and needs of the individual project.
4. Elisha creates the work
Once the project is confirmed, Elisha develops the illustration in her own visual language while staying attentive to the story or material that brought you to the piece in the first place.
