Original tattoos built from your story, your imagery, and Elisha’s hand.
A custom tattoo starts somewhere personal.
A memory. A person. A symbol. A piece of handwriting. A flower. A photograph. A strange image you cannot stop thinking about.
Elisha Marie creates custom tattoos in Chicago for people who want more than a generic design pulled from a catalog. Each piece is developed individually, with attention to meaning, placement, scale, movement, and the way the artwork will live on the body.

Bring the Idea. Elisha Will Help Find Its Form.
You do not need to arrive with finished artwork.
You can come with:
- a memory
- a reference image
- a person or place
- a handwritten note
- a symbol
- a phrase
- a sonogram
- a botanical element
- a feminine archetype
- a feeling you want translated visually
Elisha works from that starting point to create an original design that feels intentional, personal, and visually coherent.
The Drawing Comes First
Elisha came to tattooing through illustration.
Her background in portraiture, gesture drawing, mural work, live illustration, and fine art continues to shape the way she approaches tattoo design. Rather than beginning with tattoo trends, she begins with drawing.
That means composition, line, movement, and the relationship between the image and the body all matter.

How the Custom Tattoo Process Works
1. Share Your Idea
Start with the inquiry form and tell Elisha what you are imagining.
Include:
- the concept or story
- preferred placement
- approximate size
- reference images
- exact wording, if lettering is involved
- any specific imagery you want included
- preferred timing
2. Elisha Reviews the Project
Each inquiry is considered individually.
She may ask follow-up questions or help narrow the concept before the design is confirmed.
3. Pricing & Appointment
Pricing depends on the size, detail, placement, and needs of the individual design.
The tattoo minimum is $100. Once your project and appointment are confirmed, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your time and is applied toward the final tattoo cost.
4. The Design Comes Together
Elisha develops the tattoo around the agreed direction while keeping the work rooted in her own drawing style and visual language.
5. Tattoo Day
Arrive rested, hydrated, and make sure you have eaten a proper meal beforehand.
The remaining balance is due in cash at your appointment.
Current Availability
Elisha currently books tattoo appointments Sunday through Tuesday.
One complimentary reschedule is permitted. Additional reschedules or cancellations require a new $50 non-refundable deposit.
Appointments more than 20 minutes late may be canceled.
Custom or Flash?
If you want a tattoo created specifically around your own story or imagery, custom work is the right place to begin.
If you would rather choose from one of Elisha’s existing drawings, explore available flash tattoos.
Both paths begin with the same thing:
a drawing worth carrying.
